Anthony “Tony” Myers

On Tuesday January 9, 2024, Tony entered into eternal peace at home in Rotterdam, NY.

Tony was born on September 19, 1978, to Lori Myers and Eddie Montgomery. Tony is survived by his mother Lori Myers.

Left to carry on his legacy are his beautiful children Sierra, Anthony Jr., Amaya, and Adaveon (Dahn). He is also survived by his brother Donald (Gale) Montgomery and sisters L’Oreal (Giovanni) Duran, Brittany and Tannesha Montgomery. Tony was proceeded in death by his brother and best friend, Damian Montgomery and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Tony was lovingly known as “Uncle Big Head” to his nieces and nephews, Damian Jr., Raiven, Kairen and Logan Montgomery, Allesandro and Mila Duran, Sky Ramirez, Alexis (Dave) Ramharak, and Neesha (Gary) O’Neal. Also, to cherish his memory are his great nephews Giovanni, Damian III, Dominic and his great niece Xalani.

Tony had many close friends. Once you were his friend it was a lifelong friendship. You could always count on Tony for anything. His standard advice was “I don’t know man; you’re going to have to figure it out.”

Tony was a great father. His children were his soul. Every child that came into his life loved him. Friends and family affectionately called him Uncle Tony, Big Head, Tony Macaroni and Big Poppa Tone Tone (BPT).

Tony enjoyed his life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, football, fine cognac, and fancy cars.

Tony was employed as an Engineer- In- Charge for Tokyo Electron. He really enjoyed his job and was always so proud of the work that he accomplished. He was a dedicated employee, and his co-workers knew they could count on him.

The viewing will be Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at DeLegge’s Funeral Home on 1346 Chrisler Avenue Schenectady, NY from 4pm –7pm.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 17, at Refreshing Springs Church 327 Georgetta Dix Plaza Schenectady, NY commencing at 9am.

Interment will be at Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery, 611 Duanesburg Rd. Rotterdam, NY.

Tony had many friends and family throughout the world so a Zoom meeting be conducted for those who can’t make the services in person.

As much as our hearts and souls are aching, Tony is finally at peace with his brother and best friend, Damian Montgomery. Please try to find solace in knowing that they are reunited in Heaven. Please don’t ask “Why” as we all know their connection was so strong and they had incredible bond that they had to be together. We can only imagine what an amazing reunion they are having in Heaven.

Thank you, Stefani Lopez and Jenny Gregg for all your emotional support during these difficult times. Thank you, Stefani, for blessing him with two beautiful children. Thank you, Jenny, for making his final years the happiest.
