Patrick (Bob) Muscanell, of Guilderland, passed away at home in his sleep on March 17, 2024. Born on October 8, 1937 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the lates Patrick (Put) and Joan Muscanell. He was the husband of the late Theresa Juliet Muscanell. They shared 52 years of marriage before her passing. Bob attended Nott Terrace High School. Bob worked for the City of Schenectady Sanitation Department for 33 years retiring as a supervisor in 1993. He enjoyed spending time at his camp on Saratoga Lake with his wife and family. Fishing was his passion. He never forgot where he came from and was alway willing to help others.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert and Christine Muscanell of Saratoga Springs, William and Diana Muscanell of Las Vegas, NV, Patti Muscanell of Schenectady, Cindy and John Ruzzo of Rotterdam, Susan and Louis Narcavage, of Glenville, sister, Cheryle Voris of Schenectady, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, and his beloved little dog Tinker who brought him great joy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass for Bob to be held on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Schenectady. There will be no prior visitation. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
